Safety & Compliance

Button and coin batteries — keep away from children
Some items we sell — scales, lights, remotes, small electronics and similar — run on button or coin cell batteries. Swallowing one causes severe internal burns within two hours and can be fatal. Keep spare and used cells out of reach of children, make sure the battery compartment is closed and secured, and if you suspect a child has swallowed one, go to an emergency room immediately — do not wait for symptoms and do not induce vomiting.

Adhesives, sealants and solvents
- Instant adhesives bond skin in seconds. Do not force bonded skin apart — soak in warm soapy water and peel gently, or get medical help if it involves eyelids or lips.
- Work in a ventilated space. Solvent fumes are a respiratory irritant and some are flammable — no open flame, no smoking.
- Wear eye protection when applying anything under pressure or overhead.
- Store sealed, upright, out of reach of children, away from heat.
- An emergency repair is a repair that buys you time. A pressurised pipe, a gas line or anything structural needs a qualified trade, not tape.
Laser tools
Laser measures, levels and pointers we sell are Class 2: the beam is not designed to harm at a glance, but do not stare into it, do not point it at anyone, and do not aim it at mirrors, glass or polished metal where it can reflect back. Keep them away from children.
Mains-powered items
Items are supplied for the US grid at 110–120V, 60Hz. Running them on 220V destroys the item and is a fire risk; a plug adapter does not change the voltage. Do not use a damaged cable, and do not leave any heat-producing item — dryers, heaters, heated tools and the like — running unattended or overnight.
Lithium-ion batteries
- Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface — never on carpet or a bed, and never unattended overnight.
- Use the charger the item was sold with. Cross-brand charging is how packs catch fire.
- Stop using any pack that swells, smells, or gets too hot to hold. Do not put it in household waste — US retailers and municipal sites take batteries for recycling free of charge.
- Store between 30 and 60 percent charge if an item will sit unused for months.
Product compliance
Products are supplied to meet the applicable US requirements for their category. Compliance documentation for a specific item is available on request at support@nexuratool.com.
