- What it is
-
A clear wraparound visor in a black frame that runs from your brow down round under your chin, with a vented chin guard that comes apart and an adjustable elastic strap
A barrier between your face and what comes off the work. The rows on impact, standards and the chin insert are the ones to read.
- The visor
-
Clear and wraparound — it curves round the sides of your face as well as the front
The maker calls it anti-fog and its pictures say “HD”. We cannot test either, so we just say clear.
- Impact rating
-
Not published
Some of the maker's photos carry impact labels; nothing backs them, and we do not stand behind them. Face shields are made to be worn over safety glasses — for anything that can throw a chip, wear rated ones under it.
- Safety standard
-
None claimed. No ANSI Z87.1, no EN 166, no CE mark, no test result
We read all seven of the maker's product photos, the twelve pictures in its description and the whole of its text. Its spec block gives the brand as “other”.
- Chin insert
-
Removable — the perforated grille and its gasket frame lift out of the chin guard. The maker's photo also shows a pad, which is not on its package list
The maker calls the insert a replaceable filter element but publishes no performance for it, so we make no claim about what it filters and do not promise a pad. The shop does not sell refills.
- Material
-
The maker contradicts itself. Its description gives the material as “PC + silica gel” — PC being polycarbonate — while the spec attribute in the same listing says the helmet material is PVC
We cannot tell you which is right, so we print both. Either way it is plastic: it can scratch, and hot sparks can mark it.
- Frame and color
-
Black frame, clear visor. Black is the only color the listing offers
One of the maker's lifestyle photos shows a version with a light brow band. The listing itself names black only.
- The strap
-
An adjustable elastic strap with a slider buckle, round the back of your head
The maker's labels for it are “adjustable elastic band” and “adjustable strap”.
- Size
-
170 mm across the brow, 185 mm from brow to chin, 110 mm across the chin
From the maker's dimension drawing, which asks you to allow 2–3 mm for hand measurement.
- Weight
-
About 200 g
The maker's own figure.
- Fit
-
One size, unisex. The strap takes up the slack
The maker says unisex, for adults and teenagers. Its description also makes a claim about head sizes that it backs with no range, so we leave that out.
- Reuse and cleaning
-
Reusable — the maker calls it a non-disposable product that can be used repeatedly
It shows the shield rinsed under water and calls it easy to clean, but publishes no cleaning instructions. We would use mild soap, water and a soft cloth, with the chin insert out.
- What it is good for
-
Keeping sawdust, grinding grit, dust, wind and splashes off your face while you see through it and both hands stay free
Sanding, sawing and routing, drilling overhead, sweeping out, hosing down — with rated safety glasses under it wherever a chip could fly.
- What it is not
-
Welding or torch protection, rated eye protection, a respirator, medical protective equipment, or a guard against chemicals
It is clear with no shade, and carries no impact rating, no filtration figure and no standard. Use equipment rated for those jobs.
- Packs
-
2 shields, 3 + 1 free (four ship) or 5 + 2 free (seven ship)
Every shield is complete with its own strap. There is no single. Packs may arrive in more than one parcel.
- Origin
-
Mainland China
The maker's own spec block.
- Not published
-
An impact rating, any safety standard, a filtration figure, an anti-fog test, a UV figure, a heat or spark rating, the chin insert's service life, a head-size range, and cleaning instructions
The maker gives none of them, so we quote none.
