Electric Precision Screwdriver

A screwdriver the size of a pen that turns the small screws for you. Hold one button to drive a screw in, the other to back it out, and three LEDs at the tip light the screw you are on. When a screw is tight, turn the whole thing by hand like an ordinary driver: the motor is for speed, your wrist is for force. Read this first: it is made for phones, laptops, consoles and glasses, not for wall plugs or furniture.

Which kit

The driver is the same in every option. What changes is how many bits and repair tools come with it. The driver-only option has no bits at all; choose it only if you already own 4 mm precision bits. Not sure? The 48-bit kit covers most phones, laptops and consoles.

Small screws, done faster

Stop twisting forty tiny screws by hand.

A laptop bottom cover is often ten screws or more, and a game console is worse. This driver spins each one out while you just hold a button, and keeps your wrist out of it. Hold forward to drive, hold reverse to remove, and finish the last snug turn by hand if you like the feel.

Power and hand

The motor for speed. Your hand for force.

The motor is gentle on purpose. The maker rates it at 0.25 to 0.35 N·m, so it stalls before it strips a small screw head. For a screw that is stuck, or one that needs a firm final turn, you grip the body and twist it like any screwdriver: the maker rates it to 3 N·m by hand.

  • Hold to drive, hold to reverse

Two buttons on the barrel. Hold one and the bit drives the screw in; hold the other and it backs the screw out. Let go and it stops.

  • A plain screwdriver when you need one

With the motor off it is a rigid precision driver. Break a tight screw loose by hand, then let the motor run it the rest of the way out.

  • Three LEDs at the tip

They light the screw you are working on, which matters most inside a dark laptop or console.

  • Magnetize a bit, or take the magnetism off

Each kit comes with a small magnetizer block. Pass a bit through one slot and it holds a screw on its tip; pass it through the other and it stops picking screws up. The driver-only option does not include one.

These figures are the maker's own. Its listing gives the no-load speed as 200 rpm; its own graphic prints 180. We print both and promise neither.

Full specifications

A pen-size rechargeable screwdriver for 4 mm precision bits, sold on its own or with 24, 48 or 100 bits.

What it is
A pen-size electric screwdriver with a built-in rechargeable battery, forward and reverse buttons and three LEDs at the tip. For precision work on small electronics. It is not a drill and it does not replace a full-size driver.
Motor torque
0.25 to 0.35 N·m. Low by design, so the motor stalls before it strips a small screw.
By hand
Up to 3 N·m, turned as an ordinary screwdriver with the motor off. The maker's figure.
Speed
The maker's listing says 200 rpm with no load. Its own product graphic says 180. We print both and do not promise either.
Battery
350 mAh lithium, built in. The maker shows no way to swap it.
Charging
USB-C, under 50 minutes from flat by the maker's figure. A cable is included; a wall plug is not. The light on the barrel is white while it charges and green when it is full.
Runtime
The maker says a full charge drives more than 400 screws. It gives no screw size or test conditions, so treat that as a rough guide.
Size and weight
The driver is listed at 54 g. Its length is given as 200 mm in the listing and as 180 mm (7.09 in) on the maker's own drawing. About the size of a marker pen either way.
Bits it takes
4 mm hex-shank precision bits. They push straight into the tip. The bits in the 24-bit kit are 28 mm long. The larger kits add some longer ones.
Bit steel
The maker names S2 steel for the 24-bit kit and chrome-vanadium steel for the 100-bit kit. It does not say which steel the 48-bit kit uses.
Body
Anodized aluminum alloy.
Not published
Any drop, water or dust rating, the battery's cycle life, and how the LEDs are switched. The maker gives none of them, so we quote none.
Shipping
It contains a lithium battery, so it ships by ground.

In every option

  • 1 electric screwdriver
  • 1 USB-C charging cable

The kits add bits and repair tools on top of these two. The full list for each kit is in the questions further down.

Four ways to buy it

Same driver. Pick the bits.

The driver is identical in every option. What changes is how many bits come with it, which repair tools ride along, and what it all comes in. The maker's photos label the kits 28 in 1, 62 in 1 and 120 in 1, which counts every piece in the box; we name them by the number of bits instead.

The 48-bit kit laid out: aluminum case, driver, tweezers, pry tools, picks, suction cup, magnetizer, mat and cable

48-bit kit

Forty-eight bits in a slide-out aluminum case, adding square, tri-point and more hex sizes and a SIM-eject bit, with tweezers, pry tools, four picks, a suction cup and a ruled work mat. Our pick for most people.

The 24-bit kit laid out: driver in a foam-lined box, 24 bits, magnetizer, pry tool and cable

24-bit kit

Phillips, slotted, Torx, security Torx, hex, pentalobe, tri-point, triangle and spanner bits in the sizes small electronics use most, with a magnetizer and a pry tool, in a foam-lined box.

The 100-bit kit laid out: zip pouch, driver, 100 bits, flexible shaft, tweezers, brush, pry tools, picks, mat and cable

100-bit kit

One hundred bits in ten holders, including nut drivers and game-cartridge bits, plus a flexible extension shaft, tweezers, a brush, pry tools, picks and a screw mat, in a zip pouch.

The driver on its own with its USB-C charging cable; no bits come with this option

Driver only

Just the driver and its charging cable. No bits, no magnetizer, no case. Choose this only if you already own 4 mm precision bits.

How it works

Charge it. Push in a bit. Hold the button.

Driving a laptop screw under power, turning a hard-drive screw by hand, and magnetizing a bit in the magnetizer block
  1. Charge it over USB-C

Plug the included cable into a laptop, a power bank or any USB charger. The light on the barrel is white while it charges and turns green when it is full, in under 50 minutes by the maker's figure.

  2. Push in the bit that fits

Bits push straight into the tip. Match the bit to the screw with the chart in the photos. A bit that is slightly too small is how screw heads get chewed up.

  3. Hold forward or reverse

Hold one button to drive the screw in, the other to back it out. If a screw is stubborn, turn the whole driver by hand first, then let the motor finish the job.

That is the whole tool. One habit worth keeping: let the motor do the turning and your hand do the last snug turn, so a small screw never gets over-tightened.
