Glasses Light with COB Flood and XTE Spotlight

A headlamp shaped like glasses: a wide COB flood, an XTE spot for distance, nine modes and a wave sensor that works in all of them. Read this first: there is no lens in it. It is a light, not eye protection.

How many lights

A 2- or 3-pack is that many separate lights, each with its own USB-C cable and strap, so they may arrive in more than one parcel.

Glasses light · wave sensor · USB-C

Wave your hand. It's on.

A headlamp shaped like glasses, with a wide COB flood, an XTE spot for distance and nine modes. Arm the sensor, and a wave beside your right temple switches it on or off.

Wave sensor

Set the mode once. Then just wave.

Press the sensor button and it lights blue. From then on, a wave of your hand close to the right arm, beside your temple, switches the light on or off in the mode you already picked. Press the button again and the sensor is off.

  • Works in all nine modes

Pick any COB or XTE level, or the strobe, with the mode button. The wave switches the mode you picked, not a fixed one.

  • On only when you arm it

The sensor button arms and disarms the sensor. Leave it off when you don't want the light to switch by accident, and arm it again when your hands are full.

  • Close range, near the buttons

Wave close to the right arm, beside your temple, where the sensor sits under the two buttons. It reads a hand at close range, not a gesture from across a room.

The maker publishes no range for the sensor. "Close range" is our description, not a measured figure.

Where it helps

Wherever both hands are busy

A wide flood for what is in front of you, a narrow spot for what is further off, and both hands left for the job.

Close work under the COB strip, lighting the whole area evenly

Close work

The COB flood spreads an even light over what is right in front of you, so the whole job is lit, not one bright spot.

The wide beam across a stairwell on a site at night

Getting around in the dark

On stairs, in a basement or across a site at night, the wide beam lights the space around you, not just a circle ahead.

Three uses: bench work, night fishing and hiking

Work, night fishing, the trail

The maker shows it on the job, by the water at night and out hiking. It lights the work, but nothing covers your eyes: where chips or sparks fly, the job needs rated eye protection, and this light is not that.

Riding at night with the spotlight thrown down the road

On the way home

Switch to the XTE spot to see further down the road. It lights your way, but it is not a be-seen bike light, so keep proper front and rear lights on the bike.

How it works

Charge it. Put it on. Press or wave.

The two buttons explained: one works the light, one arms the wave sensor
  1. Charge it

Plug in the USB-C cable from the box. A full charge takes up to 5 hours, and four blue LEDs show how much is in it, one per quarter.

  2. Put it on

It sits on your face like a pair of glasses, one size. If you are moving around, add the elastic strap. It detaches when you don't need it.

  3. Press or wave

Press the mode button to step through the nine modes. Press the sensor button to arm the sensor, then wave a hand close to the right arm to switch the light on and off. To switch off with the button, stay in a mode for 5–8 seconds and press once more.

Two buttons and a wave are all there is to learn. It charges from the USB ports you already have.
