LED Safety Glasses with Spotlight and COB Flood

The light is built into the frame, level with your eyes, so the bright patch lands where you are already looking. A focused spot for distance, a COB strip above each lens for what is close, five modes and a wave sensor. Read this first: “safety glasses” is the shape here, not a rating. Nothing in the maker's material claims an impact standard, so these do not replace rated eye protection.

How many pairs

A 2- or 3-pack is that many separate pairs, each with its own clip-on shade lens and its own charging cable, so they may arrive in more than one parcel.

Light on your eyeline

The light goes where you look.

A head strap sits above your brow, so its beam clears the top of your head and your own hand shadows the work. Put the light in the frame instead and it points where your eyes point — nothing over your hair, nothing to fight a hard hat for, nothing to re-aim every time you turn.

Wave sensor

Wave at it instead of touching it.

There is a sensing area on the control panel with its own induction button to arm it. Once it is armed, a hand passed in front of the sensor switches the light without you touching anything — which is the whole point when your fingers are covered in grease, or you are holding a part you cannot put down.

  • On and off without a touch

In the maker's own video the light is on, a hand passes the frame and it goes out; another pass and it is back. That is the one thing a plain head torch cannot do.

  • Armed by its own button

The induction button arms and disarms the sensor, so the light cannot switch by accident when you do not want it to. The ordinary switch button sits right beside it for when you would rather press something.

  • Close range, at the frame

The sensing area is on the control panel on one arm, beside the two buttons. It reads a hand near the frame, not a gesture from across the room.

The maker publishes no distance for the sensor. “Close range” is our description of what its own video shows, not a measured figure.

The specifics

Straight answers

Every figure here is the maker's own. Where it publishes nothing, this page says so instead of guessing — and there is more of that than usual with this one.

Full specifications

A light built into a glasses-shaped frame, with a clear shield and a dark clip-on shade lens. It is not rated eye protection.

What it is
A light built into a glasses-shaped frame, with a clear shield and a dark clip-on shade lens It is a light you wear on your face, not protective equipment. See the next row.
Eye-protection rating
None claimed. No ANSI Z87.1, no EN 166, no impact mark anywhere in the maker's material Keep your rated pair for anything that throws material, and for any job where the shop has a rule about Z87.
Light sources
One focused XPE spot, plus a COB strip above each lens The spot sits at the outer end of the brow, next to the control panel.
Modes
Five: COB high · COB medium · spotlight high · spotlight medium · spotlight + COB flash The flash is the only mode that uses both sources at once.
Brightness and reach
Not published The maker prints no figure for either, so we print none.
Switching
A switch button, plus a wave sensor with its own induction button to arm it Both buttons and the sensing area sit on a panel on one arm. The maker's own pictures do not agree on which arm, so we do not say.
Battery
500 mAh × 2, built in There is no battery door in any of the maker's pictures, so treat the glasses as a tool with a life, not an heirloom.
Charging
USB Type-C, from a USB adapter, a laptop or a car charger A charging cable comes with it. No mains plug.
Charging time
Not published
Runtime
Not published The maker's own charging graphic says “long endurance” and prints no hours. It would depend on which of the five modes you leave it in.
Size
170 mm (6.69 in) across · 70 mm (2.76 in) tall · folds to 170 × 80 × 70 mm The maker's figures.
Weight
Not published The maker has a graphic headed “light weight” with the figure in grams printed behind the model's hand, and gives it nowhere else. We are not going to guess.
Lenses
A clear plastic shield on the frame, plus a dark clip-on shade that comes with it The shade is a shade. Nothing is claimed for it beyond cutting glare and wind.
Fit
One size, soft nose pad, arms that fold The maker does not say it fits over prescription glasses, and the frame is moulded to sit on your face rather than over another one.
Elastic band
A black band runs between the arm tips in the maker's photographs and in its own video The maker prints no contents list, so this is what its pictures show rather than something it promises.
Weather
The maker's words are waterproof, snowproof and shockproof — and, in the same graphic, that it cannot be used for diving No IP number is published, so treat it as splash-tolerant: rain yes, the sink no.
Packs
2 or 3 separate pairs, each one complete They may arrive in more than one parcel.
Not published
Brightness, beam distance, runtime, charging time, weight, any IP number and any sensor range The maker gives none of them, so we quote none.

In the box, per pair

  • 1 pair of LED glasses
  • 1 clip-on shade lens
  • 1 Type-C charging cable
  • 1 elastic band on the arms

The maker prints no contents list, so this is what its own photographs and its own video show. No mains plug and no case. A 2- or 3-pack is that many of these sets, and may arrive in more than one parcel.

Where they earn their place

Anywhere a head strap is in the way

The light sits level with your eyes. Nothing has to come off your head, and nothing needs re-aiming when you turn to look at something else.

Under the hood

The reason most people buy a light like this. A head strap fouls on the wing and the beam goes over the top of the part you are holding; on your face it goes down into the bay with you.

Two night scenes: working over an engine bay and at a workbench, both hands free

At the bench

The COB strips wash flat light across what is right in front of you, so a board or a stripped-down assembly is lit all over instead of in one hot spot bouncing back at you.

Four night scenes: an engine bay, reading in a tent, sawing a log and walking a trail

Camp, trail and tent

Tying a rig, working a stove, reading, finding a tent zip. Close work in the dark, where your hands and your eyes want the same patch of light.

Cycling at night, with a close-up of the lit frame and the clip-on shade lens alongside

On the bike

Switch to the spot to see further down the road, and clip the shade lens on for the daylight half of the ride. It is a light to see by, not a light to be seen by, so keep proper front and rear lights on the bike.

How it works

Charge it. Put it on. Press or wave.

Type-C charging, two 500 mAh cells, from a USB adapter, a laptop or a car charger
  1. Charge it

Plug the cable from the box into the Type-C port. It takes charge from a USB adapter, a laptop or a car charger — the same cable as your phone. There are two 500 mAh cells inside and no battery door.

  2. Put it on

They sit on your face like a pair of glasses: one size, soft nose pad, arms that fold away afterwards. An elastic band runs between the arm tips. Clip the dark shade lens over the clear shield when the sun is up, and take it off again when it gets dark.

  3. Press or wave

The switch button steps through the five modes: COB high, COB medium, spotlight high, spotlight medium and the flash that uses both. Press the induction button to arm the sensor, and from then on a hand near the frame switches the light on and off.

Two buttons and a wave are all there is to learn. One thing we cannot tell you: the maker's own charging graphic says “long endurance” but prints no hours and no charging time, so neither do we.
